Japanese Tea Ritual

Illustration & Animation

« Tetsubin. A traditional Japanese cast iron kettle used since the 16th century. A Tetsubin is meant for boiling water. Tetsubin, with their uncoated cast iron interior, enhance the water with a smoother, less bitter taste. They also naturally release iron minerals, which are beneficial for health. Once the water is hot, smaller ceramic teapots are used to brew the tea.

Experience the timeless elegance and unique flavor that only a Tetsubin can offer. »

This short and informative animation is a personnal project. While making illustrations about Japanese tea rituals, I learned more about Tetsubin and how it is used and I decided to make an animation to share some of the informations I read.
