Gaiwan

Taking the time to enjoy a cup of tea allows you to quietly settle down in the present moment. It is a theme that I keep exploring by drawing different scenes around the objects used to serve tea.

Here is an illustration of a gaiwan (or zhong). The gaiwan is a traditional Chinese cup made up of 3 elements: a bowl, a lid and a saucer. It is used to infuse tea leaves like green tea or white tea, known for their delicate flavors and aromas.
